Bastien Salabanzi is a pro skateboarder from Tuolon, France. He was born on November 18, 1985. Bastien was considered a natural, and went ahead to win his first contest at the age of 11 in Marseille, France. After winning this contest, Slabanzi was flown out to California by the shoe company vans. This was his first time visiting the United States. In 2004 Bastien finished third in the X-Games street. Then in 05, he went to Rotterdam, Netherlands to take first place in the WSR05 Skateboard Contest. Salabanzi recently parted ways with his major sponsors including Flip Skateboards and Etnies Shoes. Bastien now skates for Alis Clothing and Jart skateboards (A Eurpopean Skateboard Company). He is now back in France, playing his guitar, a new hobby he picked up.This French skater (now residing in SoCal) has more energy than the Energizer bunny, and straddles the line of competition skater and media guy. He's well known for his video parts, including Really Sorry. On the competition scene, he won the Mystic Skate Cup (July '05), and the Globe World Cup in Australia (Feb '05). He's young (19) and consistent, making him a serious threat to the X Games 11 field.
